ABOUT
Songs is a love letter to dancing together. A piece that speaks for gentleness, Songs creates a meeting place for memories and dreams of dancers at different stages of life, some of whom have worked together for decades, while others have only just met. Warmth between colleagues carries the work, which trusts quite simply in the power of movement and the presence of the performers. The courage of Songs is quiet, bare, and attentive to others. In the musical score, life resonates with all its longings, loves, and losses. The choreography seeks movement that highlights each dancer’s uniqueness and gives emotions room to reside. Dance that isn’t specifically about anything, and yet it has everything.
